Multifamily Leadership recognizes SYNC Residential #1 Best Place to Work Multifamily®

Houston, Texas, December 2025: SYNC Residential has been named the #1 company on the 2026 Best Places to Work Multifamily® list in the 5,000-19,999-unit category and earned the #2 position for Best Places to Work Multifamily® for Women in the program's annual rankings produced by the Multifamily Innovation® Council.

For a Houston-based property management company that has grown to serve 23 properties across Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, and Arkansas, this honor represents validation that intentional culture-building and genuine investment in people creates measurable impact.

SYNC Residential was honored during the national Best Places to Work Multifamily® live broadcast event, where multifamily professionals from across the country gathered to recognize organizations setting the standard for workplace excellence in the apartment industry.

“Being named the #1 Best Place to Work in Multifamily and #2 Best Place to Work in Multifamily for Women is an unbelievable achievement. For being a young company, just coming up on our 10-year anniversary in 2026, to be named at the top of these lists shows we are doing something right.” said Oren Blatt, Owner and CEO of SYNC Residential.  We know we have the best people in the industry working in our company and are proud that our employees share that feeling. As an owner-managed organization, we show up every day and treat people right, which is a culture we take pride in. These achievements – being #1 and #2 – show you don’t have to be one of the biggest companies in the industry to be great. We look forward to continuing to work hard and keep the personal touch in our management style, so we continue to top the lists for years to come.”

The program's rankings are based on an independent assessment that combines company policy and benefits review with confidential feedback from employees. This dual approach ensures the results authentically represent the workplace experiences of team members within participating organizations.

Companies recognized as Best Places to Work Multifamily® earn a distinctive badge on their organizational profile, marking them as verified leaders in workplace culture. This designation serves as a visible indicator to prospective employees, industry partners, investors, and peers that the company has achieved a documented standard of excellence.

The #2 ranking for Best Places to Work Multifamily® for Women reflects SYNC's commitment to creating opportunity and support for women at every level—from on-site teams to corporate support roles to executive leadership. To earn this distinction, companies must meet rigorous standards, including strong female participation in the confidential employee survey, substantial representation of women throughout the organization, and an average positive response rate from women of eighty percent or higher. For SYNC, this recognition affirms what the team experiences daily: a workplace culture built on genuine respect and meaningful opportunity.

The multifamily sector represents a significant economic driver, contributing over $3.4 trillion annually to the U.S. economy and supporting more than 17.5 million jobs nationwide. Apartment communities serve as essential housing solutions for individuals and families at every stage, playing a critical role in the fabric of local neighborhoods.

In an industry navigating evolving operations, emerging technologies, and shifting resident expectations, this recognition underscores the value of investing in workplace culture. Employee engagement has emerged as a key driver of organizational success, and the Best Places to Work Multifamily® program celebrates companies that demonstrate measurable commitment to building exceptional team environments.

"Strong cultures do not happen by accident. They are built with intention," says Patrick Antrim, Chairman of the Multifamily Innovation® Council and producer of the national Best Places to Work Multifamily® program. "The companies recognized as Best Places to Work Multifamily® are modeling what high performance looks like in our industry. They invest in their people, listen to their teams, and create environments where employees are equipped to do meaningful work. This is how operational excellence is created, and it is how resilient multifamily companies are being built."

Beyond recognition, participating companies gain access to comprehensive organizational reports containing engagement metrics, satisfaction data, employee commentary, and analysis of workplace performance drivers. These resources support organizations in strengthening culture, reducing turnover, enhancing development programs, and improving outcomes for both residents and operations.

"The future of multifamily belongs to companies that understand the connection between people and performance," Antrim adds. "When employees feel supported and aligned with the mission, everything improves. These companies are demonstrating that culture is not just nice to have. It is a strategic advantage."
